Lisa J. Cappalli, JD has practiced family law for more than twenty years. She has been a divorce mediator since the early 1990s and a collaborative attorney since 2000. Her goal is to help clients move forward with their lives by listening to their concerns, fears and dreams; helping them identify, prioritize and voice their interests; assessing and analyzing options and choices; educating, guiding and advising them; and implementing their decisions.

Attorney Capalli earned her B.A., Magna Cum Laude from Lehigh University in 1980 and her J.D. from Cornell University in 1984. She is a member of MENSA and recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association's Letter of Commendation for pro bono service to the citizens of Connecticut. She serves as Special Master at the Regional Family Trial Docket and local judicial districts throughout Connecticut. She is also a public educator including guest appearances on WATR 1320 AM and NBC 30 News at Ten, regular columnist for The Waterbury Republican and contributor to The Cheshire Herald.

Attorney Capalli is a member of the following professional organizations: The Collaborative Divorce Team of Connecticut; Connecticut Bar Association, Family Law Section; Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation and Family Dispute Resolution; The Collaborative Divorce Lawyers Association; Collaborative Family Lawyers of Greater New Haven; Central Connecticut Collaborative Family Law Group; International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

She lives in Cheshire with her husband and son and has three grown step children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and participating in sports.
